Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Overview
As an Installation Technician for integrated security systems, you will install and program complex security solutions including access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures that comply with the national electric code and company guidelines.
- Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot installation problems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, software programs, and operational manuals.
- Adjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for proper operation.
- Perform system checks to verify correct operation.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work with attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Work independently and submit all required paperwork.
- Use hand and power tools to mount and secure equipment, feed cables through access points, drill holes, and terminate cables.
- Conduct end‑user training and isolate network problems when applicable.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A+ certification.
- 3+ years experience with Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
- 3+ years experience with Access Control Systems.
- Understanding of alarm system design and function.
- 2+ years of experience with IP‑addressable security devices.
- Advanced TCP/IP networking skills and computer literacy.
- Valid operating a company truck with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems.
Hourly rate: $23.61‑$29.51, based on education, experience, skills, and market alignment. Competitive benefits are available.
