Experienced Auto Glass Installation Technician

Overview

As an Auto Glass Technician at Safelite, you will provide vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration services in both in‑store and mobile settings, using Safelite training and industry‑leading tools.

• Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently, focusing on safety, quality, and customer service.
• Clean customer vehicles after each job.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and complete diagnostic testing.
• Operate Safelite tools and technologies (True Seal®, Ezi‑Wire™, Glass Table System, chemicals, MRM).
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
• Communicate with customers via in‑person, text, and phone; present, promote, and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license; additional license(s) required to operate company vehicles.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (required).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws; agreement to be monitored via in‑cab safety camera and video surveillance.
• Professional customer service skills; ability to exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
• Experience with chemicals and flammable substances as per Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adjust start/end times.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for recalibration and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem‑solving and independent/collaborative skills.
• English reading, writing, and communication ability.
• Maintain professional appearance per company uniform and PPE policies.
• Ability to maintain performance under pressure.
