Class A or B Dump Truck Driver

Overview

Hawkins Transportation Services, a leading dump truck company, is seeking experienced Class A or B Truck Drivers to join our team. As a dump truck driver, you will be responsible for operating our fleet of dump trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries of materials to job sites.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, with the possibility of work on Saturdays.

• Operate a dump truck to transport and dump loose materials including sand, gravel, crushed rock, dirt, asphalt, and milling.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment, including checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, adding fluids as necessary.
• Complete required paperwork, including Department of Transportation regulations, fuel tickets, and load tickets.
• Follow detailed instructions and take directions to various job sites. Exercise good judgment, make independent decisions when necessary, and work without direct supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
• Safely operate the vehicle in traffic and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Georgia Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in operating dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail, especially with paperwork
• Safety-conscious and aware of DOT, OSHA & FMCSA regulations
• TWIC card required
• General Port card is a requirement but can be obtained after hiring.
• Must have a valid medical card
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• DOT Driving: 2 years (Required)
• CDL A or B issued by the state of GA (Required)
• Pooler, GA (Required) – Ability to commute and relocate (Pooler, GA: Relocate before starting work)
