As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving finished products through the distribution center. Day to day, you can expect to load and unload trailers. Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused.
Responsibilities- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe, clean and orderly environment of the facility
- Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles and/or equipment
- Maintain logs of trailer movements and fuel
- Communicate with appropriate departments on daily movements of trailers
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent coordination
- Valid certification to operate forklifts
- Safety-conscious and able to perform tasks in a timely and safe manner
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Able to travel between facilities/yards
