Fed Ex - - Responsibilities:
Plan transportation needs for efficient movement of volume and maximize capacity;
Direct dispatch of transportation equipment per Linehaul plan;
Collaborate with Fed Ex field operations to plan contractor and equipment needs;
Coordinate and track processing/movement of trailers, rental equipment, new trailers, and dollies;
Enter trip details into TMS to ensure on-time delivery and pick-up;
Verify equipment location in dispatch system via yard inventories;
Verify trailer load/unload status via yard checks; report missing equipment;
Communicate safety initiatives and maintain safety culture;
Investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implement contingency plans;
Review DOT roadside violations and coordinate with Safety and Maintenance for inspections and certifications
