Role Description This full-time, on-site Truck Driver role is based in Pooler, GA. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport tires and related products to customer locations, distribution centers, and other company sites. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, following assigned routes and schedules, and ensuring timely deliveries. The role involves loading and unloading tires and materials, maintaining accurate delivery paperwork, and complying with all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and company safety standards.

The Truck Driver collaborates with warehouse and service teams, communicates professionally with customers, and represents Southern Tire Mart in a courteous and reliable manner.

Qualifications

  • Commercial driving skills, including CDL Class A and Truck Driving experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations and commitment to safe, compliant operations.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and Unloading tires and related products.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass required background, drug, and motor vehicle checks.
  • Experience with basic vehicle inspection and routine maintenance reporting.
  • Strong time management and route planning skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in tire, automotive, or freight delivery environments is a plus.
