Mechanical Design Engineer

• Working individually or as part of a team develop new products from concept stage through production: design, construct, test and implement.
• Evaluate the capability of the design to meet performance and interface requirements by analysis or testing as appropriate.
• Provide technical support to field sales personnel and customers, including potential sales, technical inquiries and complaints.
• Work with Manufacturing and Quality to achieve quality, reliability and manufacturability targets.
• Thoroughly document and report on the design process, keeping records of all design activities.
• Research new technology and new materials and explore possibilities of applying to new CVP products.
• Visits customers as needed to discuss new product and new technologies
• Support existing products as assigned.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
• 7+ years mechanical design and support automotive related product
• Experience with plastics and metals and mechanical design methodology and tools
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team player
• Good organizational skills
• Automotive Car EV PDU/BDU or Energy Storage BDU design experience
• Automative Car fuse design and relative experience is preferred
