Job Purpose

The Assistant Program Manager provides supervision, guidance, and support to any assigned supervises while actively assisting the Program Director with providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of their assigned program.

Core Job Duties
  • Oversee daily program operations and provide coverage as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director to improve access, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Communicate program concerns, feedback, and updates to leadership regularly.
  • Ensure program staff attend relevant committee meetings and relay key information to the team.
  • Manage stakeholder feedback to guide program improvements; collaborate with the Director to resolve issues.
  • Communicate chart audit findings, monitor follow-up, and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
  • Provide regular supervision to assigned staff, documenting sessions in Unbound, per agency policy.
  • Monitor Snowflake reports (e.g., late notes, appends/voids) and partner with leadership to address concerns.
  • Maintain and build positive relationships with community partners, including residential facilities.
  • Support a positive program and agency culture through collaborative planning with the Director.
  • Address safety concerns promptly and coordinate with the Director and Health & Safety team as needed.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly staff and monthly collaborative meetings; ensure clear communication with staff.
  • Respond to emails and communication needs promptly during business hours.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure the program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
