Store - Huck's Sales Associate

This is a position with a 100% Employee-Owned Company. We are looking for an Associate who can provide fast, friendly service and maintain store cleanliness. Our golden rule is: “The customer is the most important person in all our stores.”

Job Title: Sales Associate, Full or Part Time

The Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to contribute to the store’s profitability.

• Customer Service:
  Greets all customers promptly (including gasoline intercom) and provides courteous service adhering to Best In Class standards; ensures store appearance reflects company expectations and is open and ready for business during all hours; handles customer conflicts using the MAKE IT RIGHT method.

  Job Duties:
  
  Supports the Vision/Mission Statement (T.H.A.N.K.S); performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager; follows all applicable laws; adheres to posted work schedules or changes arranged with the Store Manager; operates shift within company guidelines; informs Store Manager of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies; actively participates in Company contests; engages in suggestive sales as directed.
• Accounting:
  Completes shift checklist; records hours worked accurately; rings all sales on the register; records voids, refunds, and price overrides.
• Human Resources:
  Advises Store Manager of personnel situations or policy violations affecting operations; treats coworkers and customers with dignity and respect; records hours worked; complies with the Company Responsible Retailing policy.
• Security:
  Ensures cash handling procedures, safe operations, asset protection, vendor check-in procedures, and proper cash storage; follows shift change procedures and policy regarding cash drawers.
• Merchandising:
  Keeps coolers, shelves, and displays stocked and fronted; maintains equipment; uses correct pricing; utilizes suggestive selling as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintenance:
  Keeps floors clean; checks refrigeration temperatures; cleans windows, floors, shelving, counters, pumps, and parking lot; follows shift duty checklist; promptly reports maintenance problems.
• Safety:
  Ensures safe use of ladders and lifting procedures; uses wet floor signs; reports accidents promptly.
• Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App:
  Actively promotes the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers; explains benefits of signing up and using the app; monitors for misuse of points or discounts; assists customers with signup and usage.
