Job Title: Sales Associate
Location: Poplar Bluff, Missouri (Mansion Mall Marketplace)
Hourly: $15.00 - $15.00
Department: Operations
Reports To: Store Manager

Summary

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. They are knowledgeable in each product area, uphold store policies and standards, fully promote sales and promotions, and serve as an ambassador of the organization and brand. The role requires passion for outstanding customer service and merchandising.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide extraordinary customer service as described in the customer service manual, including greeting and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
  • Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the organization.
  • Set and track personal sales goals to grow and improve selling skills.
  • Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards from the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and related memos.
  • Assist in daily store operations, including completing work lists, clean‑up lists, weekly shipments, and maintaining store conditions.
  • Use presentation techniques to promote and sell goods as outlined in the product knowledge manual.
  • Consistently achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
  • Attend all staff meetings and technical clinics for the store.
  • Protect the company’s assets by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks to management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.
Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team‑player passionate about customer service and merchandise sales.
