Releif Paratransit Dispatch​/CSR

Position Overview

Responsible for providing relief paratransit dispatcher and customer services representative duties in the absence of the dispatchers or customer service representatives. Primary dispatcher duties include dispatching vehicles and operators ensuring all passenger pickups and returns are made in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Primary customer service representative duties include evaluating service requests via telephone, scheduling requests, and coordinating service delivery.

Current CTS employees who:

• Successfully completed their probationary period.
• OR Has one year transit/transportation experience and/or one year in transit/transportation dispatch; or two years’ experience in a related field involving vehicle coordination.
• OR Any satisfactory equivalent combination of related experience and training that provides required knowledge, abilities, and skills.

The candidate will be paid their current hourly base wage during the training period. Upon successful completion of the training, compensation for relief dispatcher will be 115% of the assigned paratransit operator’s current wage, at the appropriate step. Compensation for relief customer service representative will be compensated at their regular rate of pay.

Work hours will be assigned as needed and may include evenings and weekends.
