1) SPECIAL EDUCATION BASE PARA EDUCATOR
Position Summary
The R1 Special Education Base Para educator provides instructional, social-emotional, behavioral, and supervisory support to students receiving special education services. Working under the direction of certificated staff, the para educator assists students in accessing instruction, participating successfully in the school environment, and making progress toward academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and independence goals identified through their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
The R1 Base Para educator is assigned to the R1 special education program and may support multiple students throughout the school day in a variety of educational settings. This position may include recess/lunch supervision.
