Located in the northwest corner of the United States, Peninsula College is nestled in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains.
Perform complex fiscal work supporting grants and contracts. This role focuses on financial reporting, billing, reconciliation, and compliance, while assisting grant and/or contract managers with budgeting and financial tracking.
Grants and Contract Support
- Assist grant managers with budget development and ongoing financial tracking
- Review and process grant and contract invoices and reimbursement requests within ctcLink
- Monitor financial activity and flag variances, issues, or compliance concerns
- Support required grant reporting and documentation
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and supporting schedules
- Reconcile general ledger and subledgers related to grants and contracts
- Compile data for month and year end reporting and disclosure requirements
Accounts Receivable and Billing
- Prepare invoices and track payments for grant and contract activity
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Monitor and support collection of outstanding non-student receivables
Systems and Compliance
- Maintain accurate financial records in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Ensure transactions align with federal, state, and institutional requirements
- Interpret applicable guidelines and support compliance efforts
- Develop and maintain documented procedures
Collaborate and Coordinate
- Serve as backup point of contact for external agencies related to billing and reporting
- Partner with accounting, payroll, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Provide guidance and training on financial processes and documentation requirements
General Support
- Contribute to process improvement and system enhancements
- Perform related duties as needed to support operations
Other Work Activities
- Manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicates financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
- Works independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Interprets and applies policies, regulations, and procedures
- Analyzes and reconciles complex financial data
- Maintains professionalism in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (ERP preferred)
Required Physical Abilities
Work is in an open office environment that requires standing and/or sitting and computer data entry for extended periods of time.
Required Education or Certificates
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; or substantial college-level coursework in accounting or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In lieu of a degree or formal coursework, a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in grant and/or contract accounting and budgeting may be considered. Qualifying experience should include financial tracking, regulatory compliance, reporting, and budget preparation and management.

Employment Terms

Employment Pay and Benefits Information
- Full-Time Classified position.
- This is a full-time probationary appointment, that may become permanent at the end of six months of satisfactory employment.
- Anticipated starting monthly salary: $5,137 (DOE)
