Job DescriptionResponsible for the coordination of the overall operations of all Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Services, including the provision of resources and environment that facilitates optimal, cost efficient patient care delivery. This position defines and monitors the standards of patient care and Imaging Services practice, ensures availability and appropriate utilization of needed human and material resources, supports collaboration between DI, nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes.
This position requires organization and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, procedures, and programs. This position requires extensive internal and external contacts. Internal contacts are with all levels of staff and management. External contacts include physicians, physician office staff, outside health care providers and organizations, vendors, and management from other health care facilities and agencies.
Satisfactory completion of formal imaging technology training in an AMA approved school. Meets the requirements of registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and current Washington State Certification. Bachelors Degree or equivalent in management preferred.
Experience- Minimum five years experience as a diagnostic imaging technologist.
- Minimum three years previous experience in management with demonstrated increasing responsibility.
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Washington State Department of Health License for Radiologic Technologist.
- Radiology Administrator certification (CRA) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
