Kit Cutting Tech Entry Level

Port Angeles Composite is seeking a Kit Cutting Tech (Entry Level) to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position is responsible for cutting composite materials, assembling laminate kits, and preparing materials for production while maintaining quality, material traceability, and production standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Pull raw materials and prepare them for production.

Set up and operate Gerber cutting equipment.

Sort, inspect, and organize cut plies into complete laminate kits.

Prepare completed kits for freezer storage or Layup production.

Maintain accurate material traceability and production documentation.

Perform basic machine maintenance and blade replacement.

Maintain a clean and safe work area while following PPE and clean-room requirements.

Follow all quality and safety procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Working knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and CAD/CAM software.

Experience with CATIA and Autodesk/AutoCAD required.

Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and specifications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Basic math skills required.

U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident required.

One year of continuous work history preferred.

Entry-level manufacturing, material handling, or machine operation experience preferred.

Basic computer skills and ability to learn Gerber cutting software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions.
