Position Summary
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator (CCEC) provides comprehensive internal and external communications, strengthens family and community partnerships; and leads grant development support to advance district priorities. The CCEC promotes positive communications with employees, media, the community, and Board. This position supports the district with strong written, public relations, and marketing skills, along with strategies for identifying, capturing, and sharing the stories of Port Angeles Schools.
The CCEC will assist the Superintendent with community relations activities and advise the superintendent on communication issues and assist with organizational planning and development efforts to ensure a positive culture focused on student achievement within the schools and in the community. Additionally, the CCEC will be responsible for the management and design of the District's website.
