* JOB DESCRIPTION:
** The Clinical Excellence Nurse is responsible for coordinating and executing initiatives that advance clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the patient/family experience. This role integrates frontline performance improvement, quality reporting, and patient experience strategies to ensure the organization consistently delivers safe, reliable, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
This position partners closely with nursing, medical staff, operational leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to identify improvement opportunities, drive evidence-based practice, and sustain measurable performance gains. Key responsibilities include leading quality improvement projects, monitoring key performance indicators, supporting survey readiness, and facilitating root cause analyses and system-level problem solving. The role also provides support for patient experience initiatives, including patient feedback analysis, service recovery processes, and staff education aimed at improving communication, responsiveness, and overall care experience.
By merging clinical data analysis, staff education, and multidisciplinary collaboration, this role monitors the standard of care, identifies system gaps, and integrates evidence-based practices into daily operations. This position supports program alignment with CMS Conditions of Participation, state regulatory requirements, and ISO 9001:2015/DNV accreditation standards, translating complex clinical, quality, and patient experience data into actionable insights.
*** EDUCATION
* *** Master of Science in Nursing required.
*** EXPERIENCE
* *** Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in an accredited healthcare organization.
*** LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
**** Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within the State of Washington required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
* Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Project Management Professional (PMP) required within 1 year of hire.
