Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Salary Range $41,091.00 - $77,045.00 DOE

Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, and overhauls commercial trucks.

Specialized vehicles - Log Trucks

Daily repairs and maintenance to include greasing, oil & filter changes

• Repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts.
• Dismantles and resembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance.
• Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Fits bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment.
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.
• Examines parts for damage and excessive wear.

In addition, we have several shop assistants and helpers. Our goal is to build a team of competitive employees who can work together to achieve success in the log trucking, logging and dump truck industry.

We operate 12 - 14 late model KW log trucks and a dump truck, including a few ‘jewels’ that are used daily.
