Job Description: Taylor Robinson Music is looking for private music instructors who share our philosophy of "Learn to Play From the Heart." We strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable as possible because we believe music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.
We are hiring private music instructors, especially for Guitar. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio in the Port Arthur, TX area, but we have students needing teachers as soon as possible. Lessons can occur in the students' homes, your own home or studio, or via webcam (webcam lessons comprise only a small percentage of the student base).
Responsibilities• Teach private music lessons, primarily in guitar, while meeting students in person or via webcam.
• Travel to students' homes in the Port Arthur, TX area when requested.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with the Taylor Robinson Music office.
• Keep lessons organized, on time, and ensure a professional learning environment.
• Follow safety protocols, including wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, and practicing social distancing when applicable.
Qualifications- No formal music training required, but a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is a must.
- Experience teaching or working with children is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to set your own schedule and curriculum/lesson plans.
• Independent contractor basis with payment from $20 to $30 per hour, depending on travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate.
• Freedom to set your own schedule and lesson plans.
• Taylor Robinson Music handles advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to help lighten your administrative load so you can focus on teaching.
