Job Summary
The Adjunct Workforce Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and field instruction. The Adjunct Workforce Instructor is also responsible for teaching courses in line with a specific training and specialty and demonstrate the operation and maintenance of equipment. Assigned classes may occur during the day or evening with varying teaching locations. This position reports to LSCPA's Workforce Development and Continuing Education Department.
Duties/Responsibilities- Provide quality instruction
- Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives
- Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends
- Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner
- Comply with campus policies and procedures
- Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant work experience in the requested field
Physical Requirements: Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 40 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure effective instruction and safe supervision of students in classroom and field settings.
