Job Summary
The part-time High School Dual Credit Transfer Instructor position reports directly to the Director of Dual Credit Programs. This is a part-time position to teach at a Texas high school for the Dual Credit Program. The primary duties of this position are classroom teaching and lab instruction at a high school. Duties include curriculum development, grading, and classroom instruction. Comply with college policies and requirements for teaching faculty.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsible for teaching transfer courses in a specific discipline or disciplines based on the qualifications of the applicant. Prepares engaging, collegiate lessons aligned with published course descriptions and course outcomes. Maintains student grades and records. Completes all required administrative tasks related to instruction by deadlines established by the college. Attends faculty meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Minimum/Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for this position are provided in the Faculty Credentialing Handbook. Please refer to handbook for the specific qualifications for the course you wish to teach. The Dual Credit Transfer Instructor position does require a masters degree with 18 credit hours in the field of instruction.
