Duties and Responsibilities- Provides engineering guidance to technicians and operators for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Creates construction cost projections and evaluates the technical effort requirements for projects.
- Contributes to implementing maintenance strategies to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
- Identifies potential hazards and develops mitigation strategies.
- Ensures cost-effective procurement of engineering materials and services.
- Contributes to creating engineering procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Engineering Design – A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
- Troubleshooting
- Data Analysis – Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation
- Root Cause Analysis – The process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management – The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Project/Program Management – The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
- Asset Management – A systematic process of developing, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets in the most cost-effective manner (including all costs, risks and performance attributes).
