Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake.
The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.
In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:- Manage performance of pneumatic pressure testing, ensuring adherence to project procedures, test plans, and safety protocols.
- Review test boundaries, isometrics, P&IDs, and engineering documentation to confirm system readiness.
- Ensure compliance with requirements for pre-test verification including line walks, isolation checks, blinds, gauge calibration, and manifold setup.
- Oversee execution of pneumatic tests, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Onsite SME for pneumatic testing.
- Mitigate hazards associated with stored energy, pressure containment, and component failure by enforcing strict exclusion zones, barricading, and Life-Critical Rules.
- Ensure adherence to ITP hold points, documentation sign-off, punch list creation, and post-test restoration verification.
- Maintain accurate records of test pressures, durations, failures, retests, and sign-off packages for turnover to completions and commissioning.
- Train and develop Field Engineers assigned to Pipe Testing team.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
- Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Owns technical execution for pressure testing —expert knowledge of UG/AG piping systems, isometrics, specs, codes, stress/support concepts, testing, and reinstatement.
- Leads field engineering team for Pipe Testing —assigns scope, sets priorities, reviews work products, and coaches field engineers to consistent standards and pace.
