Project OverviewPort Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The Phase 2 project is located within the overall Port Arthur LNG site. It features one LNG tank, two liquefaction trains, and an additional LNG loading berth, enhancing its capacity to meet growing global energy demands.
The project is being constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake.
The Site Piling Superintendent will direct craft professional activities, work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development for the Site Piling program. Oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules, and budgets. Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
MajorResponsibilities
Leadership / Supervision (Discipline supervision up to 25 craft)
- Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
- Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
Planning / Productivity
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
Tools, Materials & Equipment
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Prepares field material requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Safety & Quality
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Technical
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Experience on an LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, mineral processing, or power generating station construction is preferred.
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to develop a 3‑week look‑ahead schedule regarding work operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
- Maintain, promote, and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft.
- Able to work extended work schedules and nights as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
- Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
- Must have work authorization within the United States of America.
