Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Sr. Civil/Structural Designer to join our team.
Position Type: Full Time
Location: Port Arthur, TX
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required
Essential Functions- Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.
- Development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.
- Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost effective technical input into design.
- Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
- Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.
- Review of drawings for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.
- Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.
- Capable of making site visits to help engineers gather field information.
- Attention to Detail & High Accuracy.
- Knowledge & Experience with Civil & Structural design.
- Self-motivated, Organized, and Solution advocate.
- 7-12 years of experience.
- CADD/Drafting Degree or Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
- CAD Design Experience with any of the following software;
Autodesk;
Civil 3D, Advanced Steel or Plant 3D. - Intern or previous experience in oil & gas industry.
- Structural, Civil or piping design.
- Develops an understanding of drawings for all disciplines.
- Develops an understanding of project responsibilities with respect to specific task deliverables.
- Develops an awareness of project schedule and budget.
