Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project includes two identical LNG trains, two LNG storage tanks, one LNG carrier berth, and associated utilities and facilities.
Job SummaryIn this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and craft professionals on the night shift. You will direct craft activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontractor work, and develop the team. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. The position requires willingness to work flexible hours, including night, split or day shifts if needed.
MajorResponsibilities
- Leadership / Supervision of up to 25 craft personnel.
- Supervise and direct craft activities as assigned.
- Schedule work and review work accomplished by each craft.
- Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area operational plans.
- Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Prepare field material requisitions for tools and consumables, ensuring crafts have necessary tools.
- Ensure current design documents are used and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensure construction operations and subcontractor performance comply with specifications and remain within schedules and budgets.
- Interpret engineering design documents, vendor documents and other technical documents in collaboration with construction field engineers, foremen and craft professionals.
- Coordinate engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen and craft professionals.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5‑8 years of relevant experience or 9‑12 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience on an LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction preferred.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to develop a 3‑week look‑ahead schedule for work operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules if required, including night, split or day shifts.
