In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
This position will be based at one of our Gulf Coast Project Locations.
- Establishes, maintains and monitors the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty, identifying critical path activities and reporting issues and concerns to project management team.
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties.
- Evaluates subcontractor, subject and ad hoc project schedules for potential schedule improvements.
- Supports and engages with field engineering, construction discipline and other project professionals across various disciplines on a daily basis.
- Actively engages in field construction execution activities, reviews construction progress, performs site walkdowns, safety reviews and coordinates planning activities.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field.
- Experience in working with multiple disciplines, coordinating planning activities and managing direct tasks.
- Advanced level of knowledge in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g. Primavera, and the Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
