Materials Buyer & Expeditor

Overview

Our client, a leading industrial company, is seeking a Materials Buyer & Expeditor to join their team in Sabine Pass, TX. As a Materials Buyer & Expeditor, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting Operations, Planning, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Materials Buyer & Expeditor (6-month contract)

Location: Sabine Pass, TX

Pay Range: 72,85 - 83,25

• Execute purchasing activities for materials, spare parts, and MRO items using SAP.
• Monitor open purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and mitigate supply risks.
• Diagnose and resolve material shortages or delays in coordination with internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and documentation standards.
• Provide timely updates and reports on material status, delivery risks, and recovery plans.

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in materials purchasing and expediting in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong SAP experience, including POs, outline agreements, source lists, and info records.
• Ability to interpret lead times, delivery commitments, and material constraints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and action-oriented mindset.
• Clear communication skills with strong follow-through and stakeholder coordination.
