We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinder to join our team. The Grinder will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding machines to ensure high-quality production of various components and materials. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

• Set up and operate grinding machines following established procedures and guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or engineering specifications to plan grinding operations.
• Select and install grinding wheels and attachments appropriate for the workpiece.
• Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect and measure finished work pieces to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines and ensure the workspace is clean and safe.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify and solve production challenges.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures during machine operations and tool handling.
• The Grinder will grind, blast, and polish metals using hand and power tools.
• Clean and grind castings, read and interpret drawings, and assist in the shop.
• Operate an overhead crane and a forklift pending training and qualification by the client company.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid photo  Social Security Card.
• One year experience as a Grinder in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read and write English and convert fractions to decimals with the ability to read machinist scales.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and diagrams.
• Familiarity with various grinding machines and operational techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve technical problems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality results.
• Clear background check, physical and drug screen required.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 70 pounds as needed.
• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.

Personal equipment such as hard hat and safety glasses will be provided by the client.
