E&I Technician

Purpose
: H+M Industrial is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support maintenance operations at a facility in Port Arthur, Texas. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems that support safe and reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial or chemical manufacturing environments and possess hands‑on knowledge of instrumentation systems, particularly Rosemount and/or Endress+Hauser products.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Install, test, and commission field instrumentation and associated electrical components.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving transmitters, sensors, valves, analyzers, and control devices.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support plant operations by responding to equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
• Perform instrument calibrations and verify proper system operation.
• Follow all site safety procedures, permit requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician in an industrial, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid TWIC card required.

• Use arms and hands to signal, reach for, handle or manipulate objects, materials, and tools.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
