Lab Quality Manager - Onsite

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a Lab Quality Manager to join our Caleb Brett team on site at our Nederland, TX facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your successful career in the Inspection and Petroleum Lab Testing business.

• Install, apply, develop, and maintain quality assurance practices which will enable the Laboratory to meet desired quality standards in a cost‑effective fashion
• Monitor quality assurance and quality control activities in the Laboratory to determine conformance with authorized procedures and good practices
• Make or arrange to have made corrections and improvements as needed
• Oversee laboratory quality assurance and quality control practices and activities including Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Proficiency testing, investigation of outliers, and Corrective Action Responses
• Manage Change procedure
• Participate and take a leadership role in Safety Meetings
• Assess problems with clients and inform Management of required corrective action
• Execute or participate in quality audits, as directed by Management
• Assist in the training efforts of the Company

8 am to 5 pm CST, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience in the petroleum industry
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Protocol, procedure and safety oriented
• Understanding of the significance of the data generated by test methods
• Petroleum/Petrochemical testing experience
• A high level of personal and business ethics
• Organized with time management skills
• Experience in handling chemical and petroleum products
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record

• Preferably has a BA or BS in chemistry or similar field and 3+ years of laboratory experience
