Level II NDE Technician

Job Description

As an NDT Level II Technician, you will perform safe inspection nondestructive tests, execute techniques for proper examination and interpret inspection results. Candidates must be technically competent and knowledgeable in the application of the current inspection codes and have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in mechanical integrity programs of refineries. Additional certifications such as ASNT ISQ for Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, API QUTE‑TM – Qualification of Ultrasonic Testing Examiners (Thickness Measurement), and/or a degree is a plus.

• Apply PinnacleART’s Non-Destructive Testing standards
• Perform inspection work that consists of UTT, MT and PT testing
• Understand and follow safety procedures and ensure requirements are being met
• Plan and execute NDE work
• Cut insulation and install inspection ports
• Fill out and organize paperwork – JSA, UT packages, permits
• Train and develop LevelI technicians

• UTT, MT, PT on‑the‑job training hours
• Rope access experience
• ISQ certification
• UTT, MT, PT classroom hours
• Must pass LevelII UT, MT, PT testing with PinnacleART
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must pass background and random drug and alcohol screening
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and TWIC card
• Self‑motivated with good written and verbal communication skills and a positive team‑oriented attitude

• Walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, crawl, twist, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs and ladders
• Identify colours, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Perceive depth
• Operate a motor vehicle and motor equipment

• Computer and related equipment, calculator, special instrumentation, hand tools, power tools, air tools, telephone, automobile
• Proper personal protective equipment: safety glasses, hard hat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, ear plugs or muffs
