SUMMARY
Utility Hand (dock hand) manages the day-to-day loading and unloading of cargo throughout the facility. The dock associates carefully handle our customers' cargo utilizing modern equipment such as rigging and powered forklifts.
* Keep log on all equipment used including work activity, jobs for the customers.
* Cargo Manifest for cargo being sent off shore
* Make listing for all incoming equipment
* Make forms for all upcoming jobs
* Complete diesel tickets before fueling job starts to ensure accurate information
* Make out lube tickets
* Monthly inventory
* Weekly tank inventory
* Track waste oil and filter drums
* Daily and weekly inspections on cranes hysters
* Gauge tank daily
* Terminal inspections .
* Tank inspections
* Dike inspections
* Table top exercise
* Boom inspections
* And all other job duties assigned
Job Requirements
* Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
* Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
* Must be able to perform calculations for inventory control
* This position works a 14/7schedule
* Applicants must either have or be able to acquire a TWIC card.
* Rigging and or forklift experience is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate or equivalent. Semi skilled or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
