As an Ambassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit.
The Airgas Supply Chain Solutions Technician partners with customers as a primary guide, nurturing and coordinating packaged gas, welding hard goods, and safety needs. In this role, your work focuses on a variety of opportunities including delivery, inventory coordination, customer service, and process advancement.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Cylinder Handling:
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. - Record Keeping:
Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

Required Qualifications
- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications required.
- Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.
- In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school with past 12 months.
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime when necessary.
