This position leads the planning, coordination, and oversight of both short- and long-term projects from concept to completion. The Senior Projects Coordinator brings order to complexity by organizing schedules, managing data requests, tracking assignments and deliverables, and coordinating meetings that keep teams focused and productive. Leveraging project management tools, this role actively monitors timelines, budgets, work hours, and expenditures-anticipating challenges and driving solutions before issues arise.

The Senior Projects Coordinator serves as a key connector among departments, leadership, clients, and external partners, delivering clear and timely updates while proactively identifying risks and removing obstacles. Education and Experience:
An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience:
* Associate's Degree
* Three (3) years of experience in the area of assignment.
Licenses and/or Certificates:
* Depending on assignment:
* Must maintain a valid driver's license.
* Depending on position assignment… if assigned to work within the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office/Justice Center/Jail additional background checks will be required:
* Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS).
* FALCON Integrated Criminal History System.

Skills and Abilities
Your Purpose & Day-To-Day Journey:
The ideal candidate brings a strong working knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures; modern office practices; and the operations of local government, including applicable County codes, ordinances, and federal, state, and local administrative regulations. This role requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other job-related software, as well as familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. The Senior Projects Coordinator demonstrates excellent analytical and research capabilities, strong business writing skills, and polished verbal communication abilities, including public speaking.
Success in this position depends on the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records and reports, and develop clear, persuasive proposals, reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation.
Equally important are strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment. The candidate must be able to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and established practices with discretion while using tact and resourcefulness to resolve new or complex challenges. This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, service providers, employees, and the public, and provide internal and external guidance and customer assistance through all forms of communication.
