- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to effectively communicate with local businesses, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations
- Excellent communication skills: facilitation, collaboration, and listening; time management and organizational
- Valid Florida Teacher Certification in an applicable subject area or grade level
- Master’s degree in Education or related field.
- Prior experience in career guidance or a similar role
- Additional certifications or endorsements relevant to specific subject areas.
- Experience in Charlotte County

Performance Responsibilities- Directs the implementation of the school's career planning guide, ensuring consistent application and administration.
- Facilitates student progress and completion towards their 3 E checklist (enrolled, enlisted, or employed).
- Provides career counseling sessions, workshops, and resources for students to explore their chosen E (enrolled, enlisted, or employed).
- Keeps the school's administration team informed about the status of student completion of the career planning guide.
- Delivers presentations to students, parents, and faculty about the career planning guide and its benefits.
- Represents the school at district-level career planning guide meetings and share relevant information with the administration and staff.
- Acts as the lead trainer for the state-approved career planning software, guiding and training staff and students.
- Organizes career exploration activities, including presentations, field trips, and industry partner activities.
- Plans and executes the school's college and career fairs, connecting students with higher education representatives and potential employers.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with employers, postsecondary institutions, and military recruiters.
- Assists students with FAFSA and FFAA completion, as well as scholarship opportunities.
- Maintains a listing of employment opportunities and assist students with job search, interview preparation, and employment skills.
- Facilitates college and career exam administration (ex., SAT, ACT, ASVAB).
- Performs other job-related functions as may be assigned.
