Schedule: Full-Time Nights (Rotating Weekends Required)
Compensation: $32.62/hr - $48.93/hr (based on years of experience)
Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and motivated Section Coordinator - Laboratory to join a hospital-based laboratory team in Port Charlotte, FL. This leadership role supports rapid-response laboratory operations within an acute care hospital setting and plays a key part in ensuring quality, compliance, and team performance during night shift operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Medical Technologist ready to take on supervisory responsibilities in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee STAT laboratory testing and analysis of patient samples
• Ensure quality control procedures are completed accurately and documented per protocol
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives (CAP and other applicable agencies)
• Assist in training, mentoring, and competency validation of laboratory staff
• Prioritize, perform, or delegate testing based on patient acuity and productivity standards
• Provide operational updates and feedback to laboratory leadership
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Science (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (Preferred)
• Active State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License (Required)
• ASCP (or equivalent) certification (Strongly Preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist (Required)
