Medicaid Eligibility Specialist

Health Care Support is actively seeking a Medical Eligibility Specialist to fill an opening with a company that is redefining healthcare operations with smart, tech-driven solutions that empower providers, streamline systems, and improve outcomes where it matters most in Port Charlotte, FL
.

• Visit patients in the hospital & bedside to pre-screen for qualifying criteria of various Federal & State Medicaid/Social Security Administration (SSA) & County / HCRA programs
• Maintain ongoing communication with various agencies throughout the application process
• Assess cases appropriately & utilize the most appropriate community resources to provide efficient client services

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience with Medicaid Prequalification
• Able to engage with patients, nurses, and providers

• Medicaid application experience
• Intake and interview experience
• FL Medicaid knowledge

Pay Details: $20.00 an hour - $22.00 an hour (depending on experience)
