Position: RN Unit Manager
Location: Port Charlotte, FL
Shift: Full Time – Day Shift
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000

Position Overview:

Charlotte Bay Rehab and Care Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a motivated nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, guiding staff development, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the DON and ADON in planning, directing, and overseeing daily operations of the Nursing Department in compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring adherence to job responsibilities and standards of care.
  • Review and address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances, escalating to the Director of Nursing as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and professional guidance to the assigned unit, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing coverage, reducing reliance on overtime and agency staff.
  • Implement progressive counseling and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality care programs.
  • Teach, demonstrate, and assess nursing skills to ensure excellence in resident care.
  • Oversee accurate and timely MDS completion and contribute to discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assist in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing personnel.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, professionalism, and resident-centered care.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
  • Previous leadership or managerial experience preferred.
