Primary role is to be a physician extender/substitute for procedures performed in radiology
Assist in the performance of direct patient care services and inpatient consults
Assist physician with physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries
Under the supervision of a physician, develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is a 238‑bed acute care facility serving a range of specialty services including cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, imaging, oncology, orthopedic care, surgery, women’s care, wound care, and physical therapy and rehabilitation. The surrounding Port Charlotte community offers scenic beauty, beaches, golf, water sports, hiking, and wildlife viewing opportunities.
Desired Professional Skills and ExperienceProcedural based experience preferred, not required.
Current PA or NP license and certificate of authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida required.
Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
BLS and ACLS certification required.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $130,000–$135,000. Final determinations may vary based on factors such as education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
