Wound Care RN position at South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, Florida. Join a dedicated team managed by Life Care Services (LCS) with a focus on exceptional senior living care. South Port Square seeks hospitality-driven professionals to contribute to residents’ well-being and engagement.

Role summary:
The Wound Care RN administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate clinical documentation, and coordinates care with physicians and families. This role involves direct resident care, participation in admission and discharge procedures, and responsiveness to emergency calls.

• Administers medications.
• Administers treatments, including dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Produces weekly and monthly wound rounds documentation.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
• Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
• Responds to the resident emergency call system as indicated.
• Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
• Keeps physicians and family aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
• Assures continuity of services and care.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

• Wound Care Certified (Preferred).
• RN currently licensed by the State of Florida in good standing.
• At least 6 months nursing experience; geriatric involvement preferable.
• Ability to convey warmth, friendliness, and caring on first impression.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Proficient in Excel.
