- OPS SCNA Weekend Warrior program may be available at the rate of $19.44/hour. Eligible shifts:
Monday–Thursday, 3PM–11PM or 11PM–7AM, and all shifts are on Friday–Sunday. Must work at least one shift during the pay period. Not a full‑time position and does not have benefits. - Excellent retirement package and deferred compensation plan. This is a continuous advertisement for a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant.
Multiple positions, varied shifts, and OPS (Temporary) candidates will be selected from the advertisement within six (6) months of the closing date.
Minimum Qualifications- Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Florida.
- Must be able and willing to work on a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English: reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process, including but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.
- Experience working as a CNA in a 120‑bed skilled long‑term care nursing facility.
- Possess a valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Provide assistance necessary for residents' Activities of Daily Living: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing and grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, assistance with meals, nourishment and transportation to meal service areas, and mobility.
- Routinely observe, identify, and report resident concerns/needs to supervisor.
- Provide escort to resident appointments when required. Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately. Accept assigned duties cooperatively.
- Perform restorative nursing measures as outlined in the care plan.
- Perform simple nursing measures such as applying splints, positioning devices, making occupied and unoccupied beds, changing linens, etc.
- Measure and record vital signs and intake/output as assigned. Observe and report symptoms of potential skin breakdown or pressure ulcers to primary nurses.
- Use appropriate techniques for mechanical lifts, transferring, turning, positioning, and range‑of‑motion exercises, recognizing changes that place a resident at risk for pressure ulcers and falls.
- Provide appropriate end‑of‑life care and use appropriate techniques for assisting and supporting residents.
- Follow facility-established policies and procedures when providing all care and dining room protocol.
- Respond to cognitively impaired residents or those with difficult behaviors (e.g., Dementia/Alzheimer’s). Observe conditions and report behavioral changes to the primary nurse/RN supervisor.
- Ensure all resident safety devices are used as outlined in the care plan.
- Document all care given on the appropriate form or electronic patient care documentation system. Maintain confidentiality of residents.
- Ensure efficient use of supplies and documents in the electronic inventory tracking system.
