OPS RN Weekend Warrior program may be available at the rate of 34.67 per hour. The eligible shifts are from Monday to Thursday, 3PM to 11PM or 11PM to 7AM, and all shifts Friday through Sunday. You must work at least one shift during the pay period. Not a full‑time position, does not have benefits.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
- From available funds, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to 4000 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
- Payment is made at the end of each 12‑month enrollment period and made directly to the participant’s lender.
- Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.

This is a continuous advertisement for a Registered Nurse. Multiple positions, varied shifts, and OPS (temporary) candidates may be selected from the advertisement within six (6) months of the closing date.
Minimum Qualifications- Must possess a valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
- Must possess a valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR).
- Must be able and willing to work on a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English: reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.
- One (1) year of experience providing services as a registered nurse in a long‑term health care environment (nursing home; skilled nursing; or assisted living facility).
- Experience with medication administration.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
- Experience working with Matrix Care.
- Knowledgeable in the use of computer applications:
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- The incumbent is responsible for providing quality professional care to veteran residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the resident population. Perform assigned duties, including but not limited to administration of medications and treatments per MD order, monitoring and providing interventions to meet the needs of the resident, completing accurate clinical documentation reflective of resident’s current status, and providing supervision and guidance to the Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (SLPN), Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA), and other allied health care professionals.
Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor. - Administer medications and perform treatments to assigned patients.
