Skilled Nursing CNA

Part‑time: 3:00 PM‑11:30 AM; 11 PM‑7:30 AM. PRN: 7 AM‑3:30 PM; 3:00 PM‑11:30 PM; 11 PM‑7:30 AM. Full‑time: 3:00 PM‑11:30 AM.

South Port Square is a 40‑acre campus in Port Charlotte, close to Charlotte Harbor and Punta Gorda. The CNA assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatment, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

• Successful completion of a state‑approved geriatric nursing assistant training program; prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred. Registration with state registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and document care given.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: from $17.50 per hour.

Shift Differential: $2/hr for Weekday Evenings and Nights, and $3.50/hr for all weekend shifts.
