Position: Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

We are partnering with a mission-driven organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis while supporting a multi-entity organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong technical accounting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial reports for multiple entities and business units.
  • Assist with accounts payable and other core accounting functions as needed.
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors.
  • Monitor budgets and help ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA, CPA-track, or Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, human services, or other multi-entity organizations is a plus.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
  • Familiarity with grants, government funding, or reimbursement-based programs is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Quick Books and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
