PLUMBING INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC (Serving Greater Vancouver & Fraser Valley)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle + Industry-Leading Benefits
Pay: $50.00-$58.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver high-quality plumbing installations that meet or exceed industry standards.
- Take pride in clean, professional workmanship.
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, and teammates.
- Support apprentices and help develop the next generation of tradespeople.
- Represent First District Mechanical with professionalism on every project.
- Commercial plumbing installations.
- Domestic water system installations.
- Drainage and waste system installations.
- Hydronic piping installations.
- Mechanical room piping installations.
- Equipment replacements and upgrades.
- Tenant improvement projects.
- Retrofit and modernization projects.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Coordinating work with other trades and project teams.
- Ensure installations meet applicable codes and standards.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Complete work safely and professionally.
- Keep job sites clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and technicians.
- Support apprentices and junior team members.
- Contribute to a positive team culture.
- Help identify solutions when challenges arise in the field.
- Required:
- Journeyperson Plumber (Red Seal preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 3 years of commercial plumbing installation experience
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clean driving abstract
- Assets:
- Class B Gas Ticket
- Hydronic heating experience
- Mechanical room installation experience
- Backflow certification
- Leadership or mentoring experience
