Senior HVAC Technician
Location:
Port Coquitlam, BC (Serving Greater Vancouver & Fraser Valley)
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

- Lead complex troubleshooting and service work.
- Serve as a technical resource for other technicians.
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Build strong customer relationships.
- Help identify solutions that improve building performance and reliability.
- Support the continued growth of our HVAC division.
- Lead by example through professionalism, ownership, and technical excellence.
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Service rooftop units, make‑up air units, heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, and related mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and control issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
- Complete service repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Support technicians with advanced troubleshooting.
- Respond to emergency service calls when required.
- Build trust and long-term customer relationships.
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer facilities and equipment reliability.
- Mentor apprentices and developing technicians.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices.
- Promote accountability and professionalism.
- Help establish service standards and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive, high‑performance culture.
Required:
- Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic
- Gas Ticket (Minimum Class
B) - Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 5 years commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean driving abstract
- Red Seal Refrigeration Certification
- Hydronic heating experience
- Commercial boiler experience
- Controls troubleshooting experience
- Chiller and Cooling Tower experience
- Leadership or mentoring experience
