The main purpose of the Procurement Sourcing Specialist is responsible for executing tactical procurement activities within the organization. This includes managing sourcing requests, applying sourcing strategies, conducting RFX processes, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing the full contract lifecycle. The role supports the implementation of category strategies and ensures alignment with internal procurement policies and global objectives. The Tactical Sourcing Specialist collaborates with internal stakeholders and category managers to drive efficiency, compliance, and value creation across sourcing operations.
GENERALDUTIES:
Tactical Procurement & Sourcing
- Conduct tactical procurement activities across relevant Fresenius Kabi units
- Clarify sourcing requests, align and finalize specifications with requestors
- Apply sourcing strategies and RFX approaches
- Create longlists for sourcing, considering preferred suppliers from category strategies
- Manage RFX processes including negotiation and proposal evaluation
- Lead supplier selection and awarding decisions
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Oversee contract sign‑off and archiving
- Monitor contract usage, expiration, and renewal
- Support in claims/complaints evaluation and management
- Support commercial aspects of electronic catalog management
- Collaborate with HUB and Global Category Managers
- Define and monitor procurement KPIs across all locations
- Achieve quarterly and annual procurement goals
- Maintain supplier database in ERP system (VMD)
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in tactical sourcing processes
- Supplier segmentation and risk assessment
- Analysis and comparison of offers in terms of quality, compliance with requirements, deadlines, costs
- Building short- and long‑term relationships with suppliers
- Building relationships with internal stakeholders
EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an international environment
- Experience in tactical sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Familiarity with warehouse and raw material management is a plus
- Solid understanding of legal / regulatory procurement landscape
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Advanced SAP MM system usage; SAP Ariba knowledge is a plus
