Position: New Business Development Manager (Public Sector) - PE
Location: Gqeberha

Core purpose of the role

The New Business Development Manager is required to create and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers that result in the acquisition and growth of Avis share in the market and retention of customers as well as meet or exceed New Business Targets set for individual for both RAC and Leasing.

Key deliverables and outputs Revenue Management
  • Plan approach to meet annual forecasts in line with the KPI’s and business objectives/goals
  • Achieve and grow rate per day, billed days as per target for car rental and fleet count
  • Assist Credit Control Department in collection of overdue payments in line with portfolio target set
  • Evaluate pricing to ensure that it meets the company’s profitability targets and presents it to the customers
  • Grow revenue in line with business targets for Avis
  • Identify new business opportunities via different channels i.e. direct, Travel Management Company (TMC), website, cold calling tools, referrals, general media, Government Tender media as well as meet or exceed the individual targets set for New Business.
Customer Management and Administration
  • Conduct timeous business reviews with all major customers and include Executives where relevant
  • Conduct timeous rate renegotiations prior to rate expiry and fleet health
  • Manage the existing client base based on customer satisfaction indicators (NPS) and targets
  • Manage and implement relevant partnerships and agreements
  • Responsible for onboarding, presenting, reporting on new customers
  • Plan and manage face-to-face customer meetings are in line with call frequency standards
  • Update and inform all customers with regards to all products available and functional processes
  • Identify and analyse lost accounts and plan approach for reacquisition
  • Manage the Sales Force (CRM Tool) effectively in line with the sales requirements
  • Collate all the necessary supporting documents for opening an account (credit facility) and submit it to the finance department in line with processes and procedures
  • Collate information and create proposals in line with the business standards
  • Attend to any customer queries or issues and escalation when necessary
  • Identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and future growth.
Reporting
  • Prepare and submit monthly client and boards reports timeously
  • Prepare and submit weekly pipeline reports timeously
  • Generate and present monthly aged reports
  • Collate data to assist the manager in preparing the managerial reports for submission to EXCO.
Internal and External Stakeholders

The role requires close engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.

Internal Stakeholders

Senior Manager, Credit Control, Pricing and Revenue Management team, Sales Coordinators, Controllers, Legal team, Tender team, Reservations, Charge Card Team, IT team, Replacement team, Branches, Call Centre Internal Customer Support Departments.

External Stakeholders

Customers, Suppliers.

Academic Qualifications

Essential:

  • NQF Level 4 Qualification (Grade 12)

Advantageous:

  • NQF Level 5/6/7 Qualification in Marketing/Communications or similar.

Note: This role requires extensive travelling. This role may be required to work overtime/after hours from time to time.

Work Experience

Essential:

  • 1-3 Years’ Sales experience and knowledge of public sector legislations
  • 1-3 Year’s New Business Development Experience
  • Broad exposure in dealing with different stakeholders during the entire sales cycles (prospecting, propositioning, negotiation, closing deals)

Advantageous:

  • 3 Years + sales experience within Avis/Zeda.
  • Broad Fleet leasing and Car Rental sales experience.
