Farm Supervisor: Laying

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position in the Agriculture division at its Cobb operations. The Farm will be required to supervise and oversee the adherence to defined best operating procedures, staff supervision and timely feedback to the Senior Farm Manager when deviations are noticed. The position reports to the Senior Farm Manager. The incumbent of this position should be in possession of a matric certificate and have 1 years’ PS experience.

A National Diploma in Agricultural, Animal Production or an equivalent, will be an advantage.

• Contribute to the achievement of Laying KPI’s on the facility.
• Ensure that all houses and assets are kept in perfect operating condition throughout the cycle.
• Strict adherence to standard operating procedures and biological risk control (BRC).
• Limiting and reducing all forms of wastage, through accurate management, measurement and application of consumables, feed and resources.
• Oversee and guide the maintenance effort on the farm, to achieve KPI’s.
• Ensure that the Company is not exposed to any form of risk or loss in the area under your direct supervision.
• Submit reports, planning schedules and data analysis reports as required.
• Lead, motivate and retain a dedicated, consistent and well-disciplined team of employees.
